Das Team von Newsshooter hat Alan Roberts eine Sony A6300 zum Test nach EBU-Kriterien gesandt, um herauszufinden, wie sich die kleine 4K (UHD) Sony im Broadcast-Umfeld schlägt. Erst kürzlich waren hier die Canon C300 MKII und die XC10 in HD für R.118 HD Tier 1 (in UHD die C300 MKII auch für Tier 2 im Ggs zur XC10) bestätigt worden.
Die Sony A6300 schien bei diesem Test nach EBU-Kriterien, (der in diesem Fall nur auf die Bildqualität einging), die hochgesteckten Erwartungen nicht erfüllen zu können. Vor allem das interne Scaling auf UHD und HD produziert lt. Alan Roberts zu viel Aliasing. Wir sind schon gespannt auf unseren Testsample von der Sony A6300 und lassen hier für´s erste Alan Robert selbst zu Wort kommen:

The dynamic range is about 9 stops in standard ITU 709 mode (without knee), 11 stops in SD-log2, 13 in S- log3. Thus is unsurprising since the camera uses only 8-bit recording.
Noise levels are consistently higher than acceptable, and noise reduction is too ineffective to improve things adequately. Only at ISO100 or ISO200 could the camera qualify for HD Tier SP, using EBU R.118 requirements.
The sensor is evidently scanned, the so-called ‘rolling shutter’ effect. Rotating motion is very poor.
This camera is not suitable for use in general broadcasting, apart from Special Purposes where it’s physical size or shape makes it uniquely suited to a particular type of shot."
