Frage von kowi:Das Zusammenfügen einzelner oder mehrer kleiner mp4-files funktioniert mit my mp4box einwandfrei.
Bei großen Files aber, die in Summe > 10 GB ergeben, steigt das Programm mit einer Schreib-Fehlermeldung aus (s. Anlage).
Im web fand ich dazu folgenden Hinweis:
"MP4Box usually generates a temporary file when creating a new IsoMedia file. The location of this temporary file is OS-dependent, and it may happen that the drive/partition the temporary file is created on has not enough space or no write access. In such a case, you can specify a temporary file location with the -tmp path_to_dir Option"
Genau das scheint das Problem zu sein, da ich auf meinem LW C nur 6 GB frei habe.
"It is a command-line tool ...."
Jetzt müsste ich nur noch wissen, was man anstellen muss, um diese Option zu ändern. Kann mir jemand erklären, wie das geht?

Du könntest auch mal Platz machen auf deiner Platte. 6GB frei heißt übersetzt randvoll bis zum Platzen, das schafft dir auch noch andere Probleme als dein aktuelles.

Yeah, ist zwar "nur" meine Systemplatte, alles andere liegt auf diversen LW's, habe vor Jahren aber C wohl zu klein gewählt für die Zukunft. Aufräumen ist problematisch (nerver touch a running system), aber LW erweitern muss ich mal angehen.

So, ich habe das Problem inzwischen gelöst - allerdings ohne Manipulation über eine Kommandozeile - sondern durch Erweiterung des space auf meinem LW C um 30 GB.
Jetzt klappt die Sache anstandslos. Übrigens legt mymp4box die temp direkt ins Root von C (was ich eigentlich immer vermeiden will!).
