Infoseite // Cinergy 400 TV und Virtual Dub

Hallo!

Habe an meine TV Karte Terratec Cinergy 400 TV eine analoge Videokamera angeschlossen und wollte damit einen Film mit Virtual Dub capturen. Jedoch kam keine Aufnahme zustande. Wenn die Kamera läuft wird der Film in Virtual Dub angezeigt. Hat jemand damit Erfahrung und kann mir helfen?

Hi,
eine ausführliche Anleitung zum Capturen analoger Quellen mit VD incl. Codecvergleich erschien im vorletzten Heft von C't (glaub' ich) und vor etlichen Wochen auch in Chip (?). Vielleicht lassen sich die Hefte (in der Stadtbibl.?) noch auftreiben.

Auf http://www.virtualdub.org" ist beschrieben, wie man die Registry abändern kann, damit die TV-Karten mit den Philips SAA713x Chipsätzen mit dem VFWWDM-Wrapper in VirtualDub laufen. Der Text steht direkt auf der Eingangsseite unter den News mit dem Titel

"1/14/2003 News: Philips SAA713x (Antigua) capture fix, and random other stuff

I have been in contact with Philips regarding a problem with VirtualDub's capture module and the drivers for the Philips SAA713x (Antigua) chip -- essentially, you can get video capture to work one or two times, then the thing dies. Overlay works, but preview doesn't, and you get zero frames trying to capture.

For you coders out there, from the Video for Windows side this very simply means you get zero samples on both the video and preview callbacks. As it turns out, Philips' staff discovered that the problem is VFWWDM driver connecting to both the Preview and the Capture pins on the Antigua capture filter.

You can disable the Preview pin with the following Registry entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ControlClass{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
nnnParametersCapPreviewEnabled = DWORD:00000001

nnnn is a four-digit number that varies by system -- the best way to figure it out is to search for a key that is fairly unique to the driver, perhaps ADC Phase Clock Delay or VideoTunerEnabled. There should already be a bunch of other Enabled type entries in the registry key. (Note that CurrentControlSet is an alias and usually points to ControlSet001.)

When you are done, reboot the system (I mean it) and then restart VirtualDub in capture mode. If the change took, the Overlay option should be grayed out.

After making this change on my Windows 2000 system, capture works reliably. Full credit goes to the Antigua team for figuring this out -- my role for the most part was trying a capture and responding back, "uh, yup, it doesn't work."

Please note, however, that the registry change disables functionality in the capture driver and may interfere with normal operation of DirectShow-based capture applications. It may also void your OEM technical support.

It is suggested that you keep note of the change for future reference, and perhaps bookmark the key if you are running the Windows 2000/XP Registry Editor, in order to delete it later if you experience problems in other applications.

As usual, if your system fails to boot, you must have screwed up somewhere."

Und noch eine schlechte Nachricht von M$. Bill schreibt:

"Initially, the devices best able to take advantage of this mapper will be digital cameras on USB and IEEE 1394 buses. Some features, such as video overlay, and some popular devices, such as analog PCI video capture cards and video ports, are not currently supported." Das liest sich so, als ob der Wrapper nur mit Kameras zurechtkommt, die an digitale Eingänge wie IEEE 1394 (Firewire) oder USB angeschlossen sind und nicht mit analogen Videokarten ;-) Geschrieben hat's Bill 1998, vielleicht hat sich inzwischen was getan.

Was anderes: Es soll von Philips ein SDK für den SAA7134 Chip geben, mit dem auch VFW Treiberentwicklung möglich ist. Kennt jemand dieses SDK?

Ja.

Die TV Karte Cinergy 400 TV hat einen Philips SAA 7134 Chip und dafür gibt es anscheinend nur Aufnahmetreiber für die WDM-Bibliotheken von Windows. VirtualDub benötigt aber Aufnahmetreiber, die über die ältere VFW-Bibliotheken angesprochen werden.

Microsoft bietet einen VFW to WDM Wrapper an. Damit sollte ein Zugriff auf die VFW-Bibliotheken auf die WDM-Bibliotheken umgeleitet werden. Theoretisch. Praktisch bezeichnen einige User den Wrapper als "crappy" (http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/story.html).

Die Installation des Wrappers für Windows 2000 ist sogar auf der VirtualDub Homepage bei http://www.virtualdub.org/docs_vfwwdmht ... ocs_vfwwdm beschrieben.

Der Wrapper sollte bei den DirectX Paketen für Windows 98 und Windows 2000 dabei sein. Vielleicht schaust Du mal welche Aufnahmetreiber VD anbietet... In Windows 2000 wäre der Aufnahmetreiber "Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32)" und bei Windows 98 der Aufnahmetreiber "Microsoft WDM Image Capture" der Wrapper.

Den Wrapper findest Du aber auch solo bei http://shopgeo.virtualave.net/wrapper.z ... rapper.zip
(das sind allerdings ältliche Versionen von 1999 und 2001)

ich suche keine Anleitung zum Capturen analoger Quellen, sondern benötige eine Lösung, warum ich mit der TV Karte Cinergy 400 TV und Virtual Dub nicht capturen kann? Woran kann es liegen? Am Treiber?
