We had this discussion here only a short time ago and came to the conclusion, that you can"t really rely on the test pictures: As far as we know, these pictures were taken with the cameras being in full automatic mode and with the factory preset (;which is known to have room for improvement). Handled correctly, the picture quality of the XH-A1 and the XH-A1s should be quite similar. And with respect to all the other important features Canon improved, I would go for the newer XH-A1s, no doubt at all.
