Sorenson hat heute eine neue Versionen seiner Video-Kompressions Software Squeeze rausgebracht: Squeeze 3.1 Mac und 3.5 Windows - neu ist vor allem die MPEG-1 und MPEG-2
Unterstützung, die Sorenson von MainConcept lizensiert hat (ebenso wie zuvor schon u.a. Adobe für Premiere 6.5). Die Windows Version unterstützt damit ab sofort folgende Formate: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (Visual Simple Profile und Visual Advanced Simple Profile), QuickTime, Flash, RealMedia G2/8/9, Windows Media 7/8/9 und natürlich Sorenson Video 3.1 Pro/Spark. Die Featureliste umfasst u.a.: 2-Pass VBR, Watchfolder für Batch-Encodierung, In/Out Trim-Punkte, DV Capturing, Flash Support, diverse Audio- und Videofilter.
