Realtime MPEG2 Encoding für SD-SDI

Hi,

Ich muss ein Echtzeit MPEG2 Encoding von einem SD-SDI Stream machen.
Sobald das Event vorbei ist, muss die Master-DVD innerhalb von 10-15 min verfügbar sein (inkl. Menü mit Extras, sonst würde ich einfach einen DVD-Recorder einsetzen). Diese 10-15 min sind ja schon mehr oder weniger die Zeit die ich zum brennen brauche, von daher kann ich keine Zeit für Rendering einrechnen.

Das Menü mit extras ist bereits vor der session in Encore vorbereitet und nach dem Ende der Session schiebe ich nur noch m2v und ac3 in encore rein und klicke auf "brennen".

Wäre die Matrox RT.X2 SD eine Lösung für mein Problem? Wenn nicht, welche Karte wäre zu empfehlen? Gibts irgendwelche Erfahrungen (DVD mit Menü quasi "Live" zu erstellen)?

I have to do Realtime MPEG2 Encoding of a SD-SDI stream.
When the event is finished, the Master DVD has to be provided (incl. DVD Menu, otherwise I would use a DVD-Recorder..) within 10-15 min. That is more or less the burning time so I cannot spend any time on rendering.

The menu inkl. extra content is prepared in Encore before the session started. After the session I only want to add the m2v and the ac3 to the project and hit "burn".

Is the Matrox RT.X2 SD the right solution for my problem? If not, what else would you recommend? Are there any experiences with this configuration (create a DVD from an event with menu more or less "live"?)

Die Lösung auf Englisch, hab ich auch in dem oben verlinken Forum gepostet:

just shortly to let you know:
finally we used a "Canopus DV Storm2 Pro". The card provides m2v and m2a in Realtime while capturing, but no chaptering.

What we did was using Encore instead and started recording with the card and playing the timeline at the same time, then set the chapters with Shift+*, so later the chapters were already at the timeline when we moved the recorded clip into. Kind of way around ;)

For any reason we had to transcode m2a to ac3 with encore (Automatic Settings) I have to find out if m2a can be used natively for DVDs without any problems (the storm does not support ac3 for any reason..).

Thanks for anybody who helped us with this topic, the next month I will setup a similar system in a TV-Truck for Conferences, and next time we will use the card in Germany in February. We will do some slight improvements, but bottomline is: very successful and flexible. Thanks!
