Frage von Georg:Hallo,
hatte heute mal kurz Gelegenheit Xpress DV 3.0 unter WinXP auf einem Vaio FX505 mit AMD CPU zu installieren.
Das Aufspielen lief problemlos - allerdings konnte ich kein Material einladen, da sowohl die PC110 sla auch die Sony DSR40 nicht erkannt wurden. Damit bringt das Prog natürlich wenig. Die auf dem Sony installierte Videosoftware arbeitet einwandfrei mit beiden Geräten.
Ist das am Xpress vielleicht nur eine Einstellungssache?

I have loaded XPressDv on winXP with no problems. Yes it will ask you for the hotfix but it is not needed in WinXP, at least that has been my experience. When it asks for the hot fix just click cancel or ok, I dont remember. However let me for warn you that XPressDV is not officially supported with WinXP. What you will find is that no matter what drivers you try and load etc..you will NOT be able to digitize footage in WinXP. Therefore I have opted to build a dual boot system, of Win2000 Pro to run Xpress DV, and Win XP to do everything else. XPressDv editing functions and effects etc all work great in XP, but again no digitizing. I am told that Avid maybe working on a patch for XP. Hope this helps.
