Effect changes appearance of layer even if the FX is disabled

Hello everyone,

I have a layer with the blend mode linear light. As soon as I apply an effect on that layer (Does not matter which effect) it changes the appearance of that layer. If I disable the effect completely it still shows the difference. I have to delete the FX to get the original image back.

It is tiny, but a disabled FX should behave like no FX is assigned, right?

Nobody? Would be nice to get at least some tips or tricks. I do not have a pic to upload right now, but basically it is like a contour around an image and as soon as I apply anything the contour changes slightly. Example: Blur or Saturation FX. It does not matter. The contour changes immediately. Why is that? Thank you for your help.

Hard to say, I never run into that. But it's not the normal behavior - something is definitely off.

Hmmm yeah I will try that. Thank you. I mean it seams like to happen in combination with blend modes. Weird.

Ok, so I tested today a couple of things.

I have 2 PSD files imported into AFX. The first one has a a couple of blending modes. One of them is linear light for a simple stroke outside the image. It seems like that AFX and Blending Modes are having an issue. As soon as I apply an effect to the layer with the blending modes on it the stroke is gone. The rest looks fine. Probably it is a weird combination which gives AFX a hard time to handle everything correctly. What I also found out:

The added effects are working in combination with adjustment layers. Which is somehow good, but also not a great workaround. So there is a difference in how AFX handles applied effects on adjustment layers and directly on the layer.

Whatever: I think I will check out if I can create the same style with other blending modes or maybe without blending modes and test if I can fix that issue that way. Really strange, isn't it? Please let me know if someone had a similar issue or has some tips and trick.

Steht das irgendwo geschrieben? In den Benutzerregeln finde ich dazu nichts. Ich schreibe meine Beiträge in der Sprache in der ich möchte, ok? Wenn es in den Regeln steht, dann ist das natürlich klar, ansonsten sehe ich hier kein Problem. Es gibt schließlich auch nur englisch-sprachige oder dürfen die hier nichts Posten? #kopfschüttel

User Jörg und User Frank haben auch ganz normal auf Englisch geantwortet. Ich habe oft die Erfahrung gemacht, dass man so mehrere Leute mit einem Thema erreicht mit Ehm der Weltsprache Nr. 1 eben.

Ich suche im übrigen niemanden der diese Probleme hat. Ich suche jemanden der hilfreiche Vorschläge bringt. Danke.

Sorry, aber ich fand deinen Beitrag unangebracht. Kannst du was sinnvolles beisteuern oder nicht oder möchtest du uns allen klar machen, dass keiner eine Lösung hat? Ich bin bestimmt nicht pampig ich kann einfach nur solche Beiträge nicht leiden. Das macht den Sinn eines Forums hinfällig.
