Tuis6

Tmpeg 2.X - is there a way around the 30day mpeg2 limit in the FREE program???

The easiest solution is to use the Loader

galileo.spaceports.com/~tuis6/tmpgenc_loader.zip
This is the full trick:

"If your MPEG2 has already expired then find and delete the following in your registry. BACKUP FIRST!!!!!

Go to the Window/WinNT folder on your Hard Drive.

Look for the Regedit.exe file - double click on it. this will bring up a window - look for:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}

If it has not yet expired delete this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CLASSES\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}

Here is a trick after you have deleted those keys from your registry:
Do not run TMPGEnc after the above deletion is done. You first change the system time to some day in year 2099. Then run TMPGEnc and use MPEG2 encoding. Ignore the expiration message. Close TMPGEnc and change the time back. It's all done
