Vorher ging das nur Im Foto Mode.
Nun haben die das in den Video Mode eingebaut.
Ist etwas komfortabler.

Ich kann mir beim besten Willen nicht vorstellen, dass da noch was dazwischen kommen wird. Panasonic hat nicht viel Zeit + Geld investiert, 5-6 Filmemacher mit diesem GH4 update rausgeschickt zum Testen, um dann zum Schluss "Ätschebätsch" zu sagen. Illya Friedman selbst schreibt folgendes:

You have to work really hard to will something (anything) into existance, there are people who will try to stop you for what seems like unjust or selfish motivations, in short turning a massive ship to do new and groundbreaking stuff is generally unrewarding to the souls brave enough to take it on.
Some folks may have had their GH4 for a year now, congratualations. I've had one too, and this process started 3 years ago for me, so I have a few insights into what is going on BTS. "Log" in one flavor or another, has been talked about since before the GH4 existed- not everything is easy to do, especially if you want to do it right. Did anyone notice the word beta being used?
Everyone who shot with a flavor of V Log L in the past month were really using something moved just slightly out of alpha phase. Basically, it didn't crash the cameras, it wasn't final then and not today.
You should be thrilled it's coming and coming soon. Panasonic could have easily said nothing and given no one anything to look at. There's a major camera company (not Panasonic) calling something "log" right now that clearly isn't, Panasonic is getting it right so that you won't have anything to complain about. And so MASSIVE studio movies (some shooting right now on the GH4) can take full advantage of a true log and have accurate color science when they get into post.
Hmm, was haltet ihr davon ? Ehrlich gesagt hätte ich etwas anderes erwartet - trotz Youtube-Compression etc.
Schade, dass man das Original nicht sehen kann und die Settings der Kamera nicht erwähnt werden.
Oder einen direkten Vergleich zu Cine-D oder Natural.
Gerade bei den "Himmel-Szenen" hätte mich das sehr interessiert.
Oder die Haare bei 2:40, woran könnte das liegen? An V-Log, da man den Kontrast in der Post hochgeschraubt hat und nur natural Light benutzt hat ?
Die anamorphic Produktion wäre mir nicht unbedingt aufgefallen, hätte ich es nicht gewusst. Wird aber wahrscheinlich an den Linsen liegen nehme ich an.
Bei manchen Filmen sieht und spürt man diesen Look irgendwie sofort, bei anderen erst wenn die ersten Flares oder Bokeh Lichter auftauchen.
Würde wirklich gerne mal intensiv mit verschiedenen Ana-Linsen experimentieren...
Ich finde es Klasse dass Panasonic der GH4 immer neue Möglichkeiten per Update spendiert!
Die meisten anderen Hersteller lassen dies erst in die nächste Generation von Kameras einfliessen, oder sich dafür extra bezahlen.
Da macht es auch nichts wenn das angekündigte Update etwas später kommt.

Bis jetzt waren es ja hauptsächlich Korrekturen.
Erst durch die zusammen Arbeit mit Atomos und der Druck der Massen etwas offener mit den Kundenwünschen umzugehen, hat sie dazu gebracht auch mal ein neues features mit rein zu packen.
Aber so spendabel wie Du es jetzt empfindest, empfinde ich es nicht wirklich.
