How would you describe the aesthetics of your film?
It's a realistic film shot in the streets of Athens in an almost documentaristic way, using a 35mm adapter in order to create a specific look that follows the gaze of the film's main protagonist.

Why did you choose to shoot on a digital format (was it solely for financial reasons, or did aesthetics play a role)?
I chose to go on the digital path many years ago and I've never regret it. This is definitely the way to go both in terms of production independence and visual exploration.

Which format exactly did you choose (MiniDV, DVCAM, HDV, HD...), and why?
We shot on DVCPRO HD with a Panasonic HVX 200 camera because of the combination of great picture quality, portability and flexibility.

What was special about shooting digital (e.g. compared to 35mm, was it your first time with dv or are you used to it ..)?
We were very familiar on shooting digital but this was our first experience with DVCPROHD and we really enjoyed the flexibility of this tapeless format that reminds a little bit the procedure of film loading.

What was your shoot-edit ratio?
Approximately 1:10.

One good word about DV / HDV (or two):
Creative Freedom (these are actually two words).

One bad word about DV / HDV (or two):
I don't have any bad word about the digital medium but I always keep in mind that whichever are the tools the most important remains the way we use them.
