DVL-Digest 1066 - Postings: Index Mini DV and 16x9 Mini DV and 16x9 - "Perry Mitchell" From: Jeff Hammond Hi folks, I need to know how the mini-DV cameras that are capable record a 16x9 image. I believe that they do it in a non-anamorphic style, but I need to know. I'm used to working with hi def anamorphic downconversions to digi beta. I need to encode this mini DV footage into MPEG-2 for a DVD and have it display correctly on a 16x9 monitor. Is this even possible? It was edited in Premiere, which I understand recognizes and aspects the footage correctly in the viewers. Any help appreciated.
