Ich finde den Tilta Armor-Man 2 Exoskeleton sinnvoller, die Last wird von unten gestützt und nicht von oben per Galgen als Kippmoment auf den Rücken vom Körper weg gedrückt.

Das Ding sieht nach einer üblen Fehlentwicklung aus, wenn der das Rig zu weit nach Links zieht oder ruckartig nach Rechts schaut, hat er den Federarm im Gesicht.
Dann doch besser gleich ein EasyRig mit Stabilisierung oder die gute alte SteadiCam.

Man benutzt doch schon seit langem eine Steadicamweste mit Arm für den Gimbal. Verstehe jetzt nicht ganz was bis auf die paar cm Unterschied in der Höhe daran anders/ neu sein soll?

Sheh jetzt aber den sinn vom Gimbal kau mehr... Da kann man doch gleich eine Steadycam nehmen - nur dass das bild viel natürlicher wirkt.

Apologies for the english.
Having used this on numerous shoots myself, I can assure you the spring is not a safety issue. The arm is not free to swing around. It is attached to the rear support rod. If you don't like it near your face, you can move the arm to your hips and invert the camera.

The Tilta armor man is a good tool. But it is quite wide, making it difficult to move through narrow doors. Also there is difficulty doing very high or very low angles. With the Nostromo, one can move the arm anywhere on the support shaft, and undersling or oversling the gimbal, allowing a greater variety of camera heights.
Also, the weight is diverted to the hips and the rig is very comfortable. The rig used in the Nostromo video is much heavier than the one in this video, and we had no problem wearing it all day.

The arm does not swing, so you won't get it in the face. Nor will it break. It's made from titanium and the axels and connectors are made from Stainless steel. It actually udes a similar connection system to tiffen steadicam arms, which tend not to break. ;-)

The steadicam is the best option for stabilisation. But a steadicam takes a long time to learn and master. I have had people who have never operated a camera using this after a few minutes.
The arm is not fixed at that height by the way. It can be placed around the hips or even lower, or higher than shown in the photos. The gimbal can also be inverted which allows for a large variety of shooting heights.
