ich verstehe es einfach nicht. die ganze welt spezialisiert sich, egal ob im Film bereich oder sonst wo. blackmagic fängt an produkte für generalisten zu bauen. das macht so null sinn. resolve war mal eine telecine. dann muste es eine schnitt software werden (die keiner benutzt weil sie als schnittsoftware total schlecht ist), und jetzt wird es noch ein audio tool, das vermutlich auch keiner nutzen wird. was soll das? wieso machen die nicht 3 produkte daraus die gut miteinander vernetzt sind und die dann auch spezialisiert sind. dieses "one fits all" denken ist was für hobby anwender. kein profi in egal welchem bereich denkt so. ich nehme ja auch keinen hammer um eine schraube in ein stück holz zu klopfen.
ich meine die ursa ist doch auch kein photo apparat oder ihre video boards sind auch keine raid controller. wieso auch? macht doch keinen sinn. aber bei software ist das plötzlich super? verstehe ich nicht.

Nö, nicht nur - da gibt es längst andere Trends, die parallel dazu ablaufen.
Desweiteren ist ja der Colorist nicht gezwungen, auch noch die Editing Page zu benutzen, aber er kann, wenn er will/muss - Optionen sind immer gut.

Abgesehen davon, daß Resolve die beste NLE ist, die ich je benutzt habe (und ich hab vom Schneidetisch, über Avid, FinalCut, Edit, Premiere, Speedrazor undwasnichtalles, so ziemlich alle durch), wird sie von ner ganzen Menge Leute benutzt. Allein die Möglichkeit, in einer Colorsuite, mal schnell, einen Schnitt anzupassen, ohne jedesmal immer wieder durch den ganzen umständlichen antiken Roundtripp Workflow gehen zu müssen ist unbezahlbar. Das spart so viel Zeit.

Wir hatten die selben Bedenken und Rob hat gerade auf der NAB vor Ort auf nachgefragt: Die Antwort: Resolve 14 Studio bleibt als Update tatsächlich kostenlos für alle Studio-Vorversionen mit Dongle.

Klar - Resolve hat sicherlich auch einen anderen Anspruch bzw. eine andere Zielgruppe (gehabt)... andererseits scheint man den nicht ganz unbedeutenden Markt jetzt ja offenbar doch breitflächiger ansprechen zu wollen... wohl in der Hoffnung das diejenigen dann irgendwann auch zu eigenen BMD Produkten greifen.
Für mich war Resolve bisher eher pain in the ass... verglichen mit Edius und dem flotten Workflow... und auch, weil ich bisher noch nicht mit RAW im Bewegtbild unterwegs bin und entsprechend keinen Bedarf hatte mein murkeliges 8bit 420 Material extrem zu graden ;)
Aber dennoch finde ich die Entwicklung positiv und bin gespannt wie sich Resolve entwickeln wird... und einen Blick auf die 14er Beta kann man ja durchaus mal riskieren.
VST-Plugin Support wäre für mich aber auch ein ziemlich wichtiges Feature - wenn man über einen möglichen "Wechsel" auch nur im Ansatz nachdenken sollte... wie stehts da an der Front? Die Frage kam hier ja bereits auf...

Träumen? Ich nutze Edius seit vielen Jahren und fahre damit bisher sehr gut mit für meine Zwecke. Das es auch nicht perfekt ist weiß ich - habe schon mit vielen anderen NLE's zu tun gehabt ;)
Und Resolve wäre für mich halt mal wieder einen Blick Wert... aber auch nur, wenn es mit identischen Ausgangsmaterial nicht weniger potent als Edius rennt. Und das tut es bisher nicht. Ob Resolve da nun 5x oder 10x schneller sein muss ist mir eigentlich wumpe - das Ergebnis muss eben passen damit man bei einem möglichen Umstieg keinen Rückschritt in Sachen nativer Bearbeitung von h.264 Material macht. Das ist zumindest mein Anspruch an ein NLE. QuickSync Support wäre daher doch nur eine logische Konsequenz.
Nochmal: Mir ist bewusst das Resolve kein klassisches NLE ist und eher andere Vorteile mitbringt... sollte es aber tatsächlich deutlich potenter auch mit vorhandener Hardware umgehen, wäre das doch auf jedenfall eine feine Sache und nur zu begrüßen.

Was ich nicht blicke ist wieso sie Fusion so stiefmütterlich behandeln.
Sie haben bisher (anscheinend) keine Anteile von Fusion nach Resolve, aber auch keine Elemente aus Resolve zu Fusion gebracht.
Mal im ernst, der Resolve hat ein paar nette Plugins drin; der Tracker ist auch ganz ordentlich. Fusions Tracker ist eine Katastrophe. Dann hats so neue Späße wie das Gesichtstracking, und das stelle ich mir sogar ganz nett vor, aber weiß auch jetzt schon dass ich das im Resolve nie so richtig nutzen würde weil dann an vielen Stellen doch ein wenig mehr gemacht werden müsste, und dann muss ich eh wieder in den Fusion (bzw Nuke, in meinem Fall).
Die sollten ihre Plugins, von denen viele wirklich nicht schlecht sind, einfach mal auch für andere Hosts anbieten. Das wäre was - dann muss ich nämlich nicht durch drei Anwendungen, was sie ja anscheinend verhindern wollen.

Mal davon ab dass der Resolve auch noch in der 14 eine nicht gescheit anpassbare Oberfläche ist (das ist schon fast unangenehm zu schauen wie sie betonen, dass man SOGAR BINS jetzt als FLOATING WINDOWS haben kann... wow!) und nach wie vor nicht so recht flexibel funktioniert (weil Datenbanksystem, Collabo Features hin oder her) habe ich nicht einen einzigen Editor gesehen, der das nutzt.
Ich bin absolut bei Dir, es ist toll mal eben was im Grading umschneiden zu können (auch wenn das schon vor dem großen "NLE Update" ging), aber wer (außer Dir jetzt) schneidet damit? Und was?
Ich wollte eigentlich nur zum Ausdruck bringen, dass ich eine Beschleunigung der h264-Bearbeitung um den Faktor 10 durch Softwareoptimierung für nicht möglich halte.
Für alle die unter euch Resolve 12.5 genutzt haben seit erstmal vorsichtig mit dem Update. Leider startet bei mir Resolve gar nichtmehr seit dem Update auf die neue Beta. Auf meiner Windows Workstation geht es nichtmehr und auf meinem MacBookPro schafft es DaVinci leider auch nichtmal bis zum Project Manager. Wer Tipps hat, sie sind herzlich willkommen.
