Marc Alhadeff (sonyalpha.blog) kommt zu einem gemischten Fazit bei seinem Test der 7Artisans Spectrum-Cineobjektive. Zumindest sind sie nur bedingt für Open Gate- und 3:2-Foto-Aufnahmen geeignet, in ihren optischen Leistungen innerhalb des 3-Brennweiten-Sets uneinheitlich und (im Gegensatz zu besseren Cine-Optiken) nicht focus breathing-korrigiert:
"All spectrum lenses have quite bad corners in photography but as you will only use a 16/9 frame this is not a big issue. [...] Distortion of the 50mm is quite high, moderate for the 35mm and low for 85mm. Resistance to flare of the 35mm is below average, 85mm show nice rainbow halo, 50mm is good. CA are quite low on all the lenses."
"The 35mm although good globally is the less good of the trio for me mainly due the sharpness although reaching very good level, never reach excellence like on the 2 others, a background blur a little bit less smooth, some color shift to the yellow in various occasions which I never had with the 2 others, although settings were exactly the same, some stronger vignetting still visible at T5.6. Other common drawbacks are the bokeh shape as of T2.8 & the visible focus breathing".
