Today, I’m excited to share important news. Boris FX has acquired several video and audio software products from Magix Software GmbH. These include Vegas Pro (formerly Sony Vegas), Sound Forge, and Acid Pro.

This acquisition expands our product family in meaningful ways. Sound Forge and Acid Pro strengthen our audio and music offerings, while Vegas Pro adds powerful video editing and content creation tools to the Boris FX portfolio.
We have a long history with the Vegas community. Our tools were included in early Sony Vegas releases and continued through many versions under Magix. We are thrilled to build on this relationship and support Vegas users moving forward.

Boris FX remains committed to supporting all major video editing and compositing host platforms. We have never been a single-host plugin company, and that will not change. Our goal is to bring the best technology to creators everywhere, regardless of their workflow.

Sound Forge and Acid Pro complement our existing audio solutions, including Sequoia and Samplitude. Each product brings unique capabilities for music creators, and we look forward to growing them under the Boris FX brand.

This acquisition adds advanced AI technology and a talented team of engineers based in Madison, Wisconsin, and Germany. Together with our current AI team, we are well-positioned to deliver even more cutting-edge tools across all Boris FX products.
