| transmit tv-signal wireless

Hi
I'm looking for a device that can transmit the tv-signal wirelessly to
my tv. It need to be the whole signal and not only the current channel
- I want to be able to switch channel on the TV, not the sending part
of the transmitter.
In Denmark I've only been able to find transmitters that send one
channel, but heard a rumor that the other solution should be available
in Germany. My only problem is, My German is pretty rusty.

I'm sorry, but indeed it is only a rumour!
None of the available wireless systems is capable of transmittig the
whole TV frequency band - the AV-signal is transmitted in the 2.4 GHz
band and the bandwidth of such systems is only sufficient for one TV
channel.
Transmitting the whole band is not practicable because it would
occupy such a broad frequency range that other wireless services
would be affected.
In case you need to supply only one TV, there's no drawback in using
a conventional system: There is a backchannel for the infrared remote
control of the transmitter.
But I suspect you want to supply more than one device - for this the
only way is using more than one wireless system (;most of them can
switched between four channels in the 2.4 GHz band).

Does that mean a remote would work in the same room as my (;recieving)
TV? The transmitter sending the tv-signal is at the other end of my
house and an IR signal would never reach it... I only want to serve one
TV...
Do you have any recomandations for a transmitting system?

hello ask, there are two methods possible, to control the Tv from
another room. The one was alredady mentioned by Bernhard with
backchannel. Its already included in the system.
The other possibility is used in or home. There is a remote control
sending infrared as well as radio signals. In front of the Receiver to
be controlled (;Tv or something else) is the other part which generates
infrared signals depending on the received radio signals.
Correction: three methods are possible. The third has a receiving and a
sending part. The receiving part gets infrared signals and is in the
room, where you want to look at TV. In front of your Tv is the sending
part, which sends infrared signals to your Tv. The connection is
realized by radio control.

Not really a recommendation - that depends very stronly on your
purpose - but some more general information instead:
There are two kinds of systems (;let's call them 'airlink') available:
The first kind transmits AV-signals (;Audio right/left, FBAS-Video).
For these you need a signal source (;sat-receiver, VCR or something
linke that, there is an IR-receiver the airlink receiver that brings
the infrared from your remote to a cable with IR-LEDs at the arlink
transmitter end, so you are able to control the signal source from
the room where your TV is.
The other kind of systems has integrated a complete
terrestrial/cable-TV-tuner, so they fit directly into the antenna
jack and are controlled from the TV end of the airlink.
If you are using a satellite receiver I recommend on the of the first
kind, if you have cable or terrestrial antenna, you might use the
second.
All of these systems are working in the 2,4-GHz band, so there are
not so many differences in pinciple - I think, you can buy any of
these - perhaps a well known trade mark may assure a better quality.

I've got cable TV, did'nt know about the "backtrack", guess this
TV-anywhere could be a working solution

...looks good - this one seems to be a combination of both kinds: It
has a built-in cabletuner *plus* AV-inputs, so you can use it for
cable-TV and AV-sources...
