Nach Tamron und Viltrox scheint nun auch Sigma AF-Optiken für den Z-Mount in Planung zu haben. Laut Gerüchteküche denk man bei Sigma zumindest laut über den Release von Optiken im Z-Mount nach:

Sigma Benelux B.V. hat geschrieben:“Good afternoon,

Sigma will probably release a number of Z-mount lenses next year. It is not yet clear to us which lenses exactly.

Sincerely,
Sigma Benelux BV”

Auch in früheren Interviews des CEOs (2021), wurde das Thema bereits angesprochen. Da schien es noch eine Frage der Produktions- und Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten zu sein.

Sigma’s CEO Kazuto Yamaki hat geschrieben:“It’s true that the photography market has been systematically shrinking for years – in keeping with more and more people simply using smartphones to make photos and videos. Less cameras sold also means less potential customers interested in buying a lens, which is why our short‑term strategy indeed involves a possibility of introducing lenses with new mounts – to such photography systems as Nikon Z or Canon EOS R. So far, however, the number of orders for our lenses is still above our manufacturing capacities, and especially the capabilities of our R&D department.”

Das heisst wohl, dass Nikon (wie Sony und Fuji) seinen Mount und dessen elektronischen Protokolle für Objektiv-Dritthersteller geöffnet hat bzw. lizenziert - im Gegensatz zu Canon, und sicher, um Marktanteile für das Z-System zu gewinnen.

Mal sehen, wie lange Canon (als letzter Kamerahersteller, der keine Dritthersteller-AF-Objektive erlaubt) seine proprietäre Politik durchhält.
