Habe das ganze vor ein paar Tagen bereits in einem amerikanischen Forum gepostet (allerdings keine Hilfe erhalten)... nun versuche ich hier mal mein Glueck.
Hi there,
i want to create video including lightpainting. It will not be a film made by stop motion (like this one - great spot, but not what I'd like to achieve)
I want to get the actors moving in the background creating light paintings in the foreground.
There are two possibilities to do that:
1. Get the shots and ANIMATE the light-paintings tracked to the (useless) light/finger the actors draw with (like in this example
2. Get the shots, extract the lights by adjusting the curves and add a simle 'echo-effect' - so they are REALLY painting with the light. (like in this example This method can be improved by not extracting the light source - but rather recording it with a second camera from the same angle and nearly closed blend. So you extract the light at recording-time.
I prefer the second one - and that is the problem.
I dont want to animate the lightpaintings (except for the simple echo effect) - it always looks 'animated' :D , but i also don't want to loose my 3D-Space by restricting the lightpaintings to a recorded 2D-layer.
Here is an example that impressed me:
In the second shot (the man in the restaurant) draws a circle (not animated - real light)...
BUT the circle has kind of depth and fits to the camera movement even in Z-Space. Ok... fitting to the camera could be achieved by a 3D-Track with boujou or PFTrack, but how is this DEPTH created by simply recording the light on a 2D-layer?
I add a picture to underline my question (front- and side-view):
